Grooming
Apart from keeping
the ears clean, regular brushing is a good idea for Field Spaniels.
History
The Field Spaniel
emerged as a separate breed from other Spaniels in the early 1900s.
Originally all black, it is thought the color differentiation was simply
to set them apart from other spaniels. Since that time, other color
variations have been recognised.
Positives
Field Spaniels are a
naturally gregarious, friendly dog to all comers. They are excellent with
children.
Negatives
Field Spaniels are
bred for working, so they do need regular exercise. This makes them
unsuitable for people with a sedentary lifestyle.
