There are four separate
varieties of Belgian Shepherds:
Groenendael - long
hair, all black
Tervueren - long hair,
fawn with black overlay and black mask
Malinois - Short hair,
fawn with black overlay and black mask
Lakinois - Course hair,
fawn with black overlay mainly on the muzzle and tail
In all the varieties a little white is tolerated
on the forechest and on the toes.

| Grooming The Belgian Shepherd benefits from regular grooming. This should be performed daily when shedding, however daily brushing is a good practice to maintain regardless. |

The BSD needs kind and
consistent positive training to bring out the best, and MUST be occupied
or will become bored and destructive. Agility, obedience work, herding
etc... will all help with the Belgians drive to work.
